Mac Tutorial: How to make a Screen Recording

There are 2 methods of doing this. 1 is by using QuickTime Player, and 1 is by using the Screenshot app.
Method 1: QuickTime Player
Step 1: Open up the QuickTime Player application.
Step 2: When it asks you to choose a video, press the red button and the window will close.
!!!IMPORTANT!!! Remember to NOT press anything else, as then the application will close. We only want the window to close.
Step 3: Go to File at the top bar, and then press New Screen Recording. If you want to record just your voice or yourself, you can choose the other options.
Step 4. (optional) On the left you can choose to record either a selected portion of the screen or the entire screen. There is also many different settings in the Options tab.
Step 5. When you are ready press Record.
Step 6. When you are done recording what you want to record, press the Stop button (circle and square together) in the top bar. You are done!
Method 2: Screenshot
Step 1. Open the Screenshot app.
Step 2. (optional) On the left you can choose to record either a selected portion of the screen or the entire screen. There is also many different settings in the Options tab.
Step 5. When you are ready press Record.
Step 3. When you are done recording what you want to record, press the Stop button (circle and square together) in the top bar. You are done!
